Answered Question: Interviewing Akira

Hi! If you had the chance to interview Akira (and any other subwriter), what would you ask them?

this ask was sent to me months back in september 2024, and a lot has changed about enstars since then… but first, i’ll answer with what i would’ve said back in september!!

if i had the chance to interview akira or any of the writers, i would LOVE to know the writing process. do they work off of notes, are they given a baseline of what the next event has to be about and what they have to add, etc. i’m so curious about the writing process behind event stories especially.

for questions to akira specifically, i would even want to know stuff like, does he refresh himself by rereading past stories before writing a new lore-heavy story? some plotlines he’s written are such insane callbacks to really old stories that there’s no way he could still remember that without notes or re-reading the story. and i mean REALLY miniscule details from past stories suddenly being relevant out of nowhere. and where does he even get the inspiration to write about some of the stuff he integrates in stories, anyway. sometimes it feels like akira read something and felt like adding it to the next enstars story he had to write LOL. and i’m so curious, how far ahead did he plan some things he ended up revealing about characters?? some reveals were insane slowburns (a big example is the reveal that past kanata had felt empty after forcibly making himself forget things. that took all the way until 2024 to be revealed to us omg), so it’s like…!?!?

but as i said, a lot has changed about enstars since this ask was sent in, and i don’t think akira writes enstars stories anymore. this is my personal speculation, but i don’t really get the impression any of the 2025 stories have been by akira. so lately the thoughts that come to my mind is wondering what he’s been doing lately.
