Hi! I remember once hearing about Midori being good at using social medias.

Is it because he regularly search people’s opinion on rst/himself/everything Chiaki-related ? I dont remember him using socmeds for anything else haha.

yeah! in the oshi room, he was tagged as "good with social media" along with shinobu (who’s been said to be good at finding information online), which is absolutely hilarious because the main thing we know about midori and social media is how he regularly searches up about chiaki LMAOO

you’re not missing out on any info, that’s about right!! midori’s thing with social media started since the beginning of !! era year 1, a rough timeline is:

  • in the summer, he was the reason ryuseitai found out they’re being slandered by rinne live, because he was on his phone looking up crazy:b at the time

  • this incident made ryuseitai suffer a lot of backlash in the summer, and out of paranoia and worry over ryuseitai, he became unhealthily obsessed with checking online what people are saying about ryuseitai

  • meanwhile, he’s also been searching up about chiaki (to which he gives any and all excuse for why, namely that "someone has to monitor him", like alright bro).

  • he searches up chiaki so often and so well he knows news about him that just came out. he also knows his talk shows well purely through online search ups

  • eventually by early winter, the bad comments he sees online end up feeding a very unhealthy mindset: they make him even more paranoid on how he and ryuseitai are perceived by the public, but he also can’t get himself to fully stop either

  • but eventually by late winter, he does attempt to stop looking up social media comments by muting his name and ryuseitai’s name. unknown if he ever muted chiaki’s name though. at around this point, he’s no longer searching as much and is unaware what people are saying online, but has seen enough to be paranoid that they’re probably slandering them again for any move they take publicly

  • but then ryuseitai unites so hard by the end of supervillain that he kinda stops caring as much and just goes "eh, what can we do about misinfo about us online"

  • BUT THEN, early !! era year 2, we find out he actually is still being online. but it’s to egosearch chiaki and what chiaki fans are saying about him. doubles down on the reasoning being that someone has to monitor him since chiaki tends to neglect contact when he’s away for work for a long period of time.

this insane series of events has somehow made him get tagged as good at social media. i love him

and now… NEW!! in the new main story about mega stream, ryuseitai discover that midori has a knack for live-streaming (though midori denies this). at first he was very anxious about the thought of being locked up in mega sphere (the blimp) and being filmed 24/7 in public, but by day 3 of the streams he’s apparently managed to get a lot of people interested thanks to his vast knowledge of yuruchara and vegetables/fruits. so that further proves he deserves the tag hehe…
